A ‘hero’ trainer who was allegedly stabbed in a Gloucestershire college hall has launched an announcement.

Jamie Sansom, from Newport in Wales, has spoken out following the incident on Monday.

Tewkesbury Academy was positioned in lockdown because the maths trainer was rushed to hospital with a suspected stab wound simply after 9am.

The pressure has since confirmed he was injured in a hall.

In an announcement, Mr Sansom stated he ‘recovering effectively’ and added he was not intervening in a struggle when the incident occurred on Monday, however couldn’t remark additional.

He stated: ‘On police recommendation, I can’t remark intimately about what occurred, however I do wish to handle some misinformation which has been circulating in protection of yesterday’s incident.
