Delta Air Strains flight 1092 landed round 9am on Wednesday at Charlotte Douglas Worldwide Airport, after departing Atlanta.

A Twitter consumer who claimed to be on the flight shared two images of the aircraft with its nostril to the bottom.

‘On Delta flight 1092 and we simply landed in Charlotte, with out nostril gear!’ the Twitter user wrote. ‘The crew was superb and the pilots landed it easily!’

Runway 36 Left was closed following the unconventional touchdown. Authorities stated the Boeing 717-2BD stayed on the runway attributable to mechanical points.

The airline has 64 Boeing 717-200s and most of them are greater than 20 years outdated, Fox 8 reported. Delta intends to retire its Boeing 717 fleet by the mid-2020s as they won’t be worthwhile to function.
